HomeAway- Washington, Missouri

Last year, we started the tradition of renting a house with my husband's side of the family- somewhere between Louisville and Springfield.

This year, we ended up in Washington, Missouri. I have to say, I was quite surprised by this house and the quaint little town it was in. It was the perfect, relaxing weekend that we all needed!

I have used VRBO before, but this house was listed on Homeaway. So far the experience has been great- as long as I get my deposit back, I'll be a happy camper!

This house is absolutely beautiful. We had four families and a dog, so that limited our options a bit. This house was pet friendly and had a bedroom for everyone- plus room to grow into in the future! The picture below is the master bedroom.

And another bedroom across the hall. The decor of this place was great, very put together and well thought out.

The living room had enough seating for everyone!

As did the kitchen. This table was perfect for all of us to fit around! The owner has thought of everything, and we were able to find all the kitchen utensils and odds and ends that we had forgotten during our stay.

The steps going upstairs were pretty steep. Once you made it up, there was a little sitting area in between two more bedrooms and a bathroom.

One of the upstairs bedrooms had two full size beds and a small, toddler bed that isn't pictured. That'll come in handy for the niece and nephew in the coming years. There was also a high chair, pack n play, and box of toys in the living room, making this house very child friendly.

Outside, there was a nice little patio with a table and chairs. The front porch also had the most comfortable patio chairs ever. I had coffee out there every single day.

This is totally not a sponsored post, but I just wanted to let you all know about our great experience. I'm really growing to love VRBO/HomeAway stays for family vacations. The prices are reasonable and it's much easier when you have a big group to be in one house, cook all your meals in one place, and just have a place to relax. We absolutely loved our weekend in this house and wanted to pass along the info to anyone interested!

Stay tuned for more info about our long weekend and what we found in Washington, MO!
